The Afghan Women’s Bike Team was formed out of a short-team cycling program empowering Afghan women with the gift of mobility and freedom. Our first year, we partnered with Interfaith Ministries of Greater Houston’s Women’s Empowerment (Afghan) Group. The following year we managed the program independently through community contacts. We are grateful to Freewheels Houston, TREK Bicycles, Veritas Christian Academy, Bikes for Refugees (Spring, TX), Jen Delgado Designs, and Texas State Representative Gene Wu for your partnership in making our program possible.
